Shades of Love starts with first education camps
The two optometrists Konstantin Hahne and Eik Bruns, who are currently completing an additional training in Berlin at the University of Optometry, have set out for Ladakh for two and a half months at their own expense.
They are now working with our Tibetan Primary Health Care Center partner on one of our key projects: in mid-October, they held our first SHADES OF LOVE FREE EYE EDUCATION CAMP in Sumo, a small village in the remote Changtang region of Ladakh.
With charts and simple illustrations, the two, together with representatives of the Tibetan Health Care Center, are clarifying the effects of sunlight. What are UV rays? What consequences does it have if you do not protect yourself? Up to information about the cleaning and care of glasses.
Konstantin and Eik are still on the road until mid-December. The project will be continued by our partners in the future – the goal is to achieve a systematic coverage with medical teams in the field of education and distribution of our Shades Of Love sunglasses.
